How Black Friday Got Its Name

Have you ever wondered how Black Friday originated? If  you haven’t, I have.  According to Wikipedia, it is the informal name coined for the day after Thanksgiving in the United States which started the Christmas shopping season since 1952. The term Black Friday became popular during the 80’s and even later in some regions of the country, though there are earlier evidence of the term being used starting in 1961 in Philadelphia, PA.
